Un "mamouth" puisque le premier volume fut publié en 1956 à une époque ou les collectionneurs européens se contaient sur les doigts de la main. Trois autres volumes paraitront à la suite, le dernier en 1983. Ouvrage de référence pour l'époque

La particularité de cette étude est la représentation des cartouches non pas en photo mais en dessin accompagné d'un texte en anglais donnant quelques informations sur chaque cartouche.
