Carried by private ship to Portsmouth with red step-type â€˜SHIP LETTER / PORTSMOUTHâ€™ (on reverse) and charged 8d ship letter fee and 8d inland, â€˜1/4â€™ (in red) to London. Fine Canada Company red wax seal. Early example.
