1949 UPU ISSUE - ARTWORK BY EDMUND DULAC. A series of pencil design works on 4 sheets of artists tracing paper endorsed 'ED897, 903, 906, 916' with detailed pencil drawings of a 2Â½d stamp (similar to the issued design) and development sketches showing either Hermes atop of a globe with UPU inscription, a world map and also a '2Â½d' with globe alongside. A fascinating insight into the artists work as developed from a supplied brief. Unique, from the estate of Colin White, author of the definitive work on Edmund Dulac (4 items measuring 256x191, 192x145, 191x135 and 192x107mm)
