Bijzonderheden:
Deze houten standaardmolen stond oorspronkelijk in Duffel en werd, ter vervanging van een versleten voorganger, in 1934 naar Ranst overgebracht. Hij werd dan ook wel ´De Grote Duffelaar´ genoemd. De molen werd op één roede verdekkerd (gestroomlijnd), zoals op deze kaart goed is te zien. In mei 1957 werd het wiekenkruis tijdens een storm afgerukt en in augustus 1958 werd de houten romp afgebroken. Op de achtergrond (links) zien we hier nog de romp van de bestaande stenen oliemolen.
