Sur ce timbre apparaît seul le Roi des Belges suite à une visite royale dans les années 1970.

Sur ce timbre, rien à droite emplacement du président Burundais de l'époque. La raison ? Peut-être que le timbre a été jugé " trop Belge " par les autorités de ce petit état. Pourtant la version dentelée a bien circulée.
