1927 2/6 from the "broken R" plate, with overprint in dark grey from the "Composite" setting with blurred grey overprint, single with 6mm date on a registered cover from Tullamore to Dublin 16 JU / 27, almost 6 months before the “all wide” 2/6 was issued. Very fine and clean, Dublin transit backstamp, a very rare cover, ex Jessop / O.P. Kennedy. Clear BPP cert. SG 83a var., ex Mi. 37IV, Hib. T69cb.

The cover shows on the back flap an embossed oval of LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY.
