1898 - 1907 PICTORIALS SPECIALISED COLLECTION of mint & used stamps includes a rare set of 23 values & colours each with diagonal bar presentation 'Specimen' handstamps, the collection well annotated on 27 old album pages and arranged to a specialised level with the various shades, papers and perforations including mixed perf singles and blocks of the Â½d Mount Cook stamps. Many scarce stamps such as 1901 (Dec) Â½d green perf 11 mint / never hinged mint block 4 SG 285 (Â£400), 1902 Â½d green on Cowan no wmk paper perf 11x14 mint SG296a (Â£250) & desirable items including exceptional ranges of shades, for example 1898 no wmk perf 12 to 16 includes 5d sepia & purple-brown shades mint, 6d green & grass-green shades mint, 8d both shades mint including never hinged pair in numbered corner position,Â to the 5s vermilions (4 mint, 1 without gum) and so on with blocks, some proofs, stamps with 'OFFICIAL' overprints included.
