Ancient Chinese Technique Book "Tian Gong Kai Wu" series Stamps. 5-2.

The set of five stamps depict Irrigation Skill , which is one of the more than 10 arts faithfully recorded in the "Tian Gong Kai Wu", a book which gives a detailed description of the production technique that the ancient Chinese people used in agriculture and industry. The book "Tian Gong Kai Wu", was written by Sung Yin-shing of the Ming dynasty.

The hydraulic section of this book gives a detailed account of how the ancient Chinese utilized different sources of power to irrigate their crop. Five of these skills are featured on this set of stamps.
