Les albums de Célébrités Contemporaines ont été diffusés par les magasins Félix POTIN pendant plusieurs années et ont évolués au fil du temps
La dernière version première collection, noté 510 Célébrités est souvent en plus bel état (bien que déjà plus que centenaire) avec la biographie en contre page (ce qui favorise la conformité des images aux bons emplacements, moins évident pour les homonymes)
Les versions précédentes, notées 500 Célébrités peuvent contenir soit 510 photos, avec ou sans biographie en contre page, (imprimé ou sur feuillet rajouté) soit seulement 500 photos sans biographie (Felix Faure Président ; Doumer Homme politique).
Encore une distinction possible avec l’édition originale sans numéro de MILLE avec table des matières sur deux pages et une majorité de photos « CHOCOLAT FELIX POTIN » et non « COLLECTION F.P. »
Ces premières éditions sont aussi intéressantes car il est possible de rajouter en contre page plusieurs tirages différents au fil du temps (au lieu de collectionner plusieurs albums)
