Fameux schéma iconique, conçu par Massimo Vignelli (1931-2014), entré dans les collections du MoMA en 2004, qui resta en usage sur le réseau de métro de New York, de 1972 à 1979.

Il s'agit d'une des deux variantes de la 1re édition, dite “bullets version" : la couverture présente les disques colorés d'indices de 12 lignes (2, E, AA, B, 7, RR, 4, KK, 6, SS, QB, 5).

Le plan-guide présente au verso les schémas (ou thermomètres) de toutes les lignes (26) qui formaient le réseau à l'époque.

* 1re édition : imprimée durant l'été 1972, couverture présentant l'indice de la ligne KK qui disparaitra dès l'édition suivante.

Excellent état.
