Monochrome real photographic multiview postcard showing three views of the London and North Eastern Railway streamlined express passenger train “The Coronation”, which ran between London and Edinburgh from 1937 to mark the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Views shown are the observation coach, the type of engine used to haul the train and the express at full speed.

Published by Valentine & Sons Ltd, Dundee & London, No 38C-4.

Postally used on 31 July 1942 with double circle Ashbourne cancellation on orange 2d stamp and sent to Miss Connie Burgess, Pinehurst Heights Lodge, Wormley, near Godalming, Surrey.

Very good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but very light knock to bottom right corner.

My scans are high quality and include both sides of the entire postcard, including the corners. My descriptions are as accurate as my ability allows. All of the postcards are genuine vintage cards, unless the description clearly states otherwise.
