L´auteur de Jurassik Park, de Harcèlement ou encore de Turbulences a choisi de prendre quelques libertés avec la vraisemblance, mais le suspense n´en est pas moins fort bien tenu. Sphère a été adapté au cinéma par Barry Levinson, avec Sharon Stone, Dustin Hoffman et Samuel L.
