WHAT IS THIS ?

Is an original period item ca 1902 / 1904

What did those USA ships were doing here in Uruguay in Montevideo port ?

I know this because I have acquired a superb collection of photographic type postcards from my country Uruguay, and was able to date some postcards precisely in those years.

As you know, the Uruguayan territory is structured as a result of its important port, so in this collection abounds the photographs of mainly military ships of various flags.

The collector had an interest marked by these ships, which is why he dedicated himself to photographing many of these when they came to the port of Montevideo.

It is also notorious the quality of the photography, the amateur was not such and has done excellent works. As well as its incredible state of conservation.
