AIRCRAFT CRASH COVER 1939 (12 June) crash cover from Perth WA to Sussex, England, salvaged from the wreck of the Flying Boat "Centurion" which crashed into the Hoogly River at Calcutta and sank. The front of the cover shows the two line "SALVAGED MAIL / EX CENTURIA" cachet in red (this a spelling error variety of "Centurion"), and with Officially Sealed label on the back. Nierinck 390612.
