TOWN MACHINE AND SLOGAN CANCELS ON COVERS COLLECTION 1950-72 good collection of commercial covers displayed in an album, these showing the postmarks of a good range of provincial towns (i.e. no Lagos) with examples from Aba, Benin, Calabar, Enugu, Ibadan, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, and Zaria plus Victoria, Southern Cameroons. There are many interesting slogan cancels represented on the covers e.g. Nigerian Blind Need Your Help, Save with the Post Office Savings Bank, Post Early for Christmas, Licence Your Radio, Clear Addressing Speeds Your Mail, 1971 International Year for Action to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination, Northern Region Self Government, Address Your Letters Clearly, Show Senders Name and Address on Back of Envelope, Independence 1st October 1960, Visit the Nigeria Exhibition, Ensure that Correct Postage is Paid, etc. Also one with Southern Cameroons Trade Fair cachet, a stampless cover with "NNSB-FREE" cachet, some with Postage Due markings, official and company official cachets, etc. In good condition.
