1881-87 FABULOUS EARLY ISSUES COLLECTION A mint and used specialised collection of the early imperf and perf "Liberty Head" issues, includes 1881 imperf first issue, plate I, big range (over 170) with all values to 20c both mint and used, SG 1/6, incl 1c two mint marginal blocks of ten, a mint strip of four, and a vertical pair, 20c with "0" of "20" raised mint and "0" of "20" dropped used varieties, 20c used with paper folds, used multiples with 1c two pairs 5c three pairs, 7c two pairs and a strip of three, coloured cancellations incl in blue and in red, and a few identified 20c forgeries, 1882-86 perf 13½ second issue, plates II and III, similar ranges (over 150) with all values to 20c both mint and used, SG 7/20, incl 7c and 20c mint pairs, 20c marginal used pair on cover front to Paris dated July 1891, identified varieties incl 20c with "0" of "20" both raised and dropped mint plus "0" of "20" dropped used pair, 20c "broken frame" used, 5c retouch used, 2c imperf single used, red and blue cancellations, and a page of used forgeries made to defraud the Post Office, 1886-87 (new plates) 1c, 2c, and 5c mint and used range, SG 21/23, incl 2c used block of four, plus two pages of Postmarks incl Ship cancels, Dutch cancels, French cancels, and USA cancels, with some of these on slightly later 19th century issues.
