1893 ANDAMAN ISLANDS MILITARY MAIL. 1893 (Aug) envelope (flap partially missing) to Norfolk, England, bearing India 9p red tied by PORT BLAIR squared circle, the top of the envelope inscribed "From NO. 2068 Pte J. Dawson, Det 1st Norfolk Regt, Port Blair", then countersigned diagonally at left and additionally inscribed "Capt. Commanding Det 1st Norfolk Regt, Port Blair, Andaman Islands", with Bombay transit cds on reverse. A delightful cover with excellent inscriptions. Rare.
