COVER92(4). 1868. 20 cts lilac, four stamps and 10 p red brown Great Britain. MADRID to TRIPOLI, circulated via France to Marseille, where it is returned to Madrid, postmark REBUTS AND RECLAMATIONS, on the back. From Madrid it is forwarded via Gibraltar where it is rated, applying a 10 pb British stamp canceled with postmark "A26", returning to Madrid via San Roque three days later, it is again forwarded to Gibraltar from where almost a month and a half later arrives to Alexandria (Egypt) where it is definitely returned to the origin with handwritten text "Retour al´Office", via Malta by the English mail (defects in the envelope). VERY FINE AND SPECTACULAR AND VERY RARE MIXED FRANKING, ESPECIALLY WITH THIS SPECIAL ITINERARY.
1º y 2º Centenario
SOBRE 92(4). 1868. 20 cts lila, cuatro sellos y 10 p castaño rojo de Gran Bretaña. MADRID a TRIPOLI, circulada vía Francia hasta Marsella, donde es devuelta a Madrid, fechador REBUTS AND RECLAMATIONS, al dorso. Desde Madrid se reencamina vía Gibraltar donde es tasada, aplicando sello británico de 10 p y anulado con matasello "A26", volviendo de nuevo a Madrid vía San Roque tres días después, de nuevo se reenvía a Gibraltar desde donde casi un mes y medio después llega a Alejandría (Egipto) donde definitivamente se devuelve al origen con texto manuscrito "Retour a l´Office", vía Malta por el correo inglés (defectos en el sobre). MAGNIFICA Y ESPECTACULAR Y RARISIMO FRANQUEO MIXTO, ESPECIALMENTE CON ESTE ESPECIAL ITINERARIO.
